Newark and Sherwood Energy Agency:
o Domestic Energy Advice - improving local “Residential Sustainable Energy” performance.
o Work towards improving the Council’s “Corporate Sustainable Energy” performance. 
o A signposting service for local business, community enterprises, and the public sector.
o Encourage local Sustainable Energy Educational activities.
o  Our Service Plan  (PDF Format) works towards improving the Council’s performance.

Towards Sustainable Energy  - Our Energy Policy Hierarchy for Tackling Climate Change.
o Reduce the need for energy – good energy housekeeping to cut energy usage.
o Use energy more efficiently  – invest in energy efficiency improvements so as to save energy, save money.
o Increase the take-up of green renewable energy and lower CO2 emission fuels.
o Any continued use of fossil fuels to be clean and efficient.

o Economic – literally fuelling the economy and providing jobs, creating new low carbon markets. 
o Social - contributing to quality of life and maintaining good health, the tackling of fuel poverty.
o Environmental - tackling climate change, pollution and ecological impacts
o Newark and Sherwood Energy Agency is a strategic partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council.
