Creating Safer and Stronger Communities

August 1st 1998 saw the introduction of the Crime and Disorder Act  The Act requires that partnerships be set up at a district  level to tackle crime and disorder and improve community safety. For more information see our  key documents page.

Working with partners and the people of Nottinghamshire to build safer and stronger communities

Together we will:

  • Increase community safety and reduce crime
  • Takle anti-social behaviour
  • Reduce the impact of drug and alcohol misuse
  • Reduce domestic violence
  • Work with diverse communities to achieve equality and respect.

You can receive advice and assistance on smoke alarms, home repairs, insulating your home and keeping warm, home security, community transport and have access to a wide range of local services.
