Missing cats
You can report missing cats to us on-line (form for reporting) or by calling us on the number below.
Before telephoning please have the following details ready:
- The breed, age, sex and name of the cat
- A description of the cat including any distinguishing marks such as white paws or striped tail
- The colour of the collar if one was fitted
- Whether the cat is micro-chipped
- When and where the cat was lost
General advice for anyone who has lost a cat
- Ask neighbours to check sheds, green houses, garages and outbuildings
- If your cat is micro-chipped report it to Petlog on 0870 6066751 so they can log your cat as missing
- Put up posters in local shops, schools, post office, library other local buildings
- Call your local vets to register that the cat is missing
- Call local animal shelters such as the RSPCA Radcliffe-on-Trent Animal Shelter (0115 9334422) or Cats Protection
- Ask local people such as milkman, postman and the window cleaner
- Ask local radio (who will often broadcast lost and found appeals)
- Check and advertise in the lost and found section of local newspapers
