Parking for disabled people

Disabled parking bay All blue badge holders please note changes to disabled parking regulations in all Newark and Sherwood District Council car parks as from 7th May, 2013

Blue badge holders may park free of charge only when parked in a designated disabled bay (Yellow bays) for a maximum of 3 hours and must display their valid disabled badge and parking clock.

Normal charges will apply if parked in other bays (White bays) – please continue to display your blue badge along with your pay and display ticket.

Enforcement of this new regulation will commence on Monday 3rd June, 2013. Please read the tariff boards.

Details of how to obtain a blue disabled parking badges and other information on residents permits/controlled parking zones can be found on the Nottinghamshire County Council website. If you use a car park not operated by the council, please check what charges apply, if any, for disabled motorists.
