Street trading is prohibited in the following streets in Newark:

  • Bridge Street
  • St Mark's Place
  • Stodman Street
  • Middlegate
  • Boar Lane
  • Chain Lane
  • Church Street
  • Church Walk
  • Cartergate
  • Kirkgate
  • Appletongate (from Bridge Street to Magnus Street)
  • Barnbygate (from Appletongate to Bede House Lane)
  • Baldertongate (from Carterate to London Road Car Park)
  • The Wharfe
  • Castletongate
  • Tolney Lane
  • Beastmarket Hill
  • Northgate (to Queens Road junction from Castlegate)

We do not operate a license scheme for street trading.
