Activity area
Do you have lively little ones looking for something extra to do? Make, play and learn here at Newark Millgate Museum in our special activity area full of free things to do.
There are colouring sheets, paper mosaics, puppets, story books and traditional games to play as well as word searches and museum trails.
Art and craft workshops
Wacky workshops explore colour, texture and technique to transform everyday objects into works of art. Some explore history, culture and traditions too.
We have made pictures, puppets, games and toys, decorated eggs, boxes, plant pots and recreated roman shields, head dresses, brooches and much more.
Our workshops are for children of all ages and abilities.
Workshops are part of our school holiday activities. They can be tailored to school sessions by our Learning and Outreach Team or part of a Night at the Museum.
