Newark and Sherwood District Council’s Chairman, Councillor Mrs Marika Tribe, is looking to attract local producers and growers to provide ingredients as a way of introducing their business to other companies on the lookout for local food products, such as restaurants, shops or hotels and local dignitaries.
The producers and growers will have the opportunity to provide their ingredients towards the overall menu for the dinner event.
The dinner event at 7pm on Thursday 27 September 2012 will be ticketed with tickets available to food-buying businesses in the district.
The approximate cost of the ticket will be £20 per head but a confirmed price will be issued at a later date.
This event is being held in place of the traditional civic dinner, held by the district council’s Chairman every year. Money raised from the event will be in aid of the Chairman’s charity for this year: Think Children.
Any food producers or growers, based within Nottinghamshire, who would like more information on the event, or to put themselves forward to provide ingredients for the dinner, can contact Newark and Sherwood District Council's Civic Office on 01636 655501
