Independent Panel Members Needed

We are seeking to appoint two suitably skilled and experienced individuals to join a newly-established Growth Investment Fund Panel which will help us deliver our Prosperity agenda.

The Growth Investment Fund will provide loans to local businesses with recognised growth potential, where other sources of funding are not available.  Initially it will run as a 1-year pilot. Accountable to elected Members of the Council and supported by a professional business analyst, the Panel will be responsible for the management and performance of the Fund.  

As a Panel member, you will be joining a team that is committed to enabling growth within the District.  The positions - an independent Chair and a Panel Member - will suit individuals with a background in business financing, and with time available to dedicate to the role. The Chair role is expected to require up to 2 days per month and the Panel Member 1 day per month. Preference will be given to individuals who are prepared to take on the roles on a voluntary basis, although we may be prepared to consider modest remuneration. Out-of-pocket expenses will be payable.
