Welcome to our new website

This new site covers all council services - from recycling, council tax, benefits and planning to tourism, leisure centres, car parks and markets.

The site now makes it easier for you to pay for a service, apply for something or report a problem, with the buttons you can see at the top of every page.

We've linked up the information that we think is relevant to you, in a way that should make it easy for you to find what you're looking for.

There is now a calendar on the homepage which will be filled with the latest events around the district.

You will also see on the homepage, a direct link to the council's Twitter feed.

Twitter is an instant messaging service which allows you to ‘tweet’ in 140 characters or less to people who subscribe as your ‘follower’. Followers can view these updates on their own Twitter pages or have them sent to their mobile phones.
