Arts and crafts buzz for Easter in Sherwood Forest

21 March 2016

Sherwood Forest Arts and Craft Centre will be a hive of activity over the Easter Break and school holidays, starting on Easter Monday with an Easter Egg Hunt plus puzzles and games, paper craft and sewing sessions.

Organiser Julie Patman, who runs the centre’s Three Little Daisies craft shop, said: “The activities on Easter Monday run from 11am-3pm and there’s no need to book – just turn up and have a go at something that’s creative and fun. There’s something suitable for every age group.

“We will also be holding kids’ crafts sessions on Wednesdays during the school holidays (10.30am-3pm April 6 and 13) with activities including glass painting, sewing, jewellery making, bath bomb making , paper craft and painting.”

A small charge (from 50p to £4) is made for each activity and not all activities are available every session.

The Arts and Crafts Centre lies in Forest Corner in the beautifully converted coach house and stables of the former Edwinstowe Hall.

It is just a short walk from the famous Major Oak and the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre.
