New council service opening in Southwell
More and more council services can be accessed online but we recognise that sometimes our customers want to speak to somebody in person.
Closer access to advice and information from Newark and Sherwood District Council will be available in Southwell from the end of September.
Face-to-face services will be on offer two days a week from Southwell Library - rather than customers having to travel the council’s offices at Kelham or Newark Town Hall.
Help and advice on the full range of council services will be available at the Southwell advice centre, such as benefits, council tax, planning, rubbish and recycling, environmental health and licensing.
From Tuesday, September 27, council staff will be on available to help you every week at the following times: Tuesdays – 9.30am-4.30pm and Thursdays – 9.30am-12.30pm.
For further information telephone customer services on 01636 650000.
