International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia

17 May 2017

Wednesday 17 May marks the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IdahoBiT)

IdahoBiT is an important day for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Communities, here in Nottinghamshire, Britain and across the world.

The date commemorates the day in 1990 when the World Health organisation declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder. It is now celebrated in more than 130 countries worldwide. The day represents an annual landmark for everyone who opposes prejudice and discrimination and united millions of people who wish to promote equality and diversity.
