Publication Amended Core Strategy DPD

Having reviewed the comments received on the three Preferred Approach Papers (Strategy, Site and Settlements and Town Centre and Retail) and brought together the necessary evidence a period of  representation was held on the Publication Amended Core Strategy between Monday 17th and Friday 1st September 2017.  Following on from this 6 week consultation period representations were reviewed, a report and proposed amendments to the DPD were submitted and heard at a Full Council meeting on 26th September 2017.  Following on from this meeting the Amended Core Strategy and evidence base documents were submitted to the Secretary of State on 29th September 2017 for independent examination by a Planning Inspector, who will test the document's soundness and its compliance with legislation and the Duty to Cooperate.

The amended Core Strategy, supporting documents and information regarding the documents examination are available for inspection on the  Amended CS DPD - examination and at;

  • District Council offices at Castle House (Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.);
  • Local Libraries in Newark and Sherwood District: Balderton, Bilsthorpe, Blidworth, Clipstone, Collingham, Dukeries, Edwinstowe, Farnsfield, Lowdham, Newark, Ollerton, Rainworth, Southwell, Sutton-on-Trent (during normal opening hours);
