Publication Amended Core Strategy DPD (Monday 17th July until 5pm on Friday 1st September 2017)

Having reviewed the comments received on the three Preferred Approach Papers (Strategy, Site and Settlements and Town Centre and Retail) and brought together the necessary evidence we are now seeking representation on the Publication Amended Core Strategy.  Prior to submitting the document to the Secretary of State the District Council has a statutory requirement to provide a 6 week consultation period to enable the submission of Statement of Representations.  This period will commence Monday 17th July until 5pm on Friday 1st September 2017.

The Newark and Sherwood Publication Amended Core Strategy DPD sets out the District Council's spatial policy framework for delivering the development and change needed to realise the District Council's vision for the District up to 2033. When adopted it will replace the current Core Strategy adopted March 2011.

The Policies Map Amendments sets out the areas where amendments to the Core Strategy have required amendments to the Policies Map. The Policies Map sets out were the specific Development Plan Policies and land designations apply from the Development Plan. 

The Statement of Consultation sets out a summary of comments received at previous consultations and how these have been taken into account during preparation of the DPD. 

The Integrated Impact Assessment weighs up the social, environmental, health and economic effects of the DPD as well as considering equality issues.  This assessment incorporates the requirement to carry out a sustainability appraisal.

A broad range of Supporting Evidence Base Documents have been produced to provide evidence to inform the Newark and Sherwood DPD.

Submitting Representations

Representations may be submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council in writing or by way of electronic communication.  The form can be completed and submitted directly online which is accessed by following this link.  Alternatively, the form can be downloaded from the website for submission by email or post.  Paper copies of the form will be placed with the DPD Documents at the locations set out in the ‘Statement of Fact Notice’.  Please use the following addresses for the relevant method of submission:
