The performance of our service is managed in a number of ways.

Service Plans co-ordinate how each service is going to contribute to the Council’s overall priorities.  Our Service Plan maps out what actions we are going to take to deliver certain outcomes.  It considers the sections resource (finance, people, skills and assets) and makes an assessment of risks to achievement and how those risks can be managed.

The Central Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) set a number of National Indicators that are used to monitor Services and compare our performance with that of other Local Authorities.  Click here for further information regarding national indicators for our service.

In addition to these we also measure ourselves against a set of Local Indicators for each service area.

The Service does not only concentrate its efforts on these indicators.  It also delivers a large number of key services that impact on the Quality of Life within our district.  Click here to see some of our major achievements over the past year.
