Where to Eat

From Sherwood Forest to Southwell Minster, the Trent Valley to the historic market town of Newark-on-Trent, you’ll find a wealth of attractions on offer. Shopping or cycling, rambling or relaxing, festivals or farm parks, markets or museums – whatever your interests, we’ve all this and more, just waiting for you to enjoy.

With so much to see and do, you’ll need to take time out for refreshments – and where better than in one of our many restaurants, coffee shops, tearooms or pubs?

While you’re in the District, don’t forget to visit one of our interesting farm shops or farmers markets, where you’ll find fresh, local produce and plenty of delicious home-made treats.  Come and pick your own fruit, or visit Southwell in the autumn and get your Bramley apples from the birthplace of the “king of apples'.
