Newark and Sherwood District Council Publication Scheme
Newark and Sherwood District Council has chosen to adopt the model publication scheme that has been prepared and approved by the Information Commissioner.  A full copy of the model scheme can be found here in pdf format.

Adopting the model scheme commits the Council to make information available to the public as part of its normal business activities. The information covered is included in the classes of information mentioned below, where this information is held by the Council.

Financial information relating to projected and actual income and expenditure, tendering, procurement and contracts.

What our priorities are and how we are doing.
Strategy and performance information, plans, assessments, inspections and reviews.

How we make decisions.
Policy proposals and decisions. Decision making processes, internal criteria and procedures, consultations.

Our policies and procedures.
Current written protocols for delivering our functions and responsibilities.

Lists and registers.
Information held in registers required by law and other lists and registers relating to the functions of the authority.

The services we offer.
Advice and guidance, booklets and leaflets, transactions and media releases.A description of the services offered.

Charges which may be made for information published under this scheme
Material which is published and accessed on our website will be provided free of charge.  Please be aware that the Council is not responsible for any charges made by your internet service provider for downloading information.

Information not available on the web site
Information listed in the councils publication scheme pages that is not availble to download will be provided on request. Details of who to contact, the formats available and cost of  providing the information can be found on the appropriate entry in the scheme. Every effort will be made to provide the information within 5 working days of the receipt of your request. If payment is required then the information will be provided within 5 working days of receipt of payment. Details of how to make your payment will be provided when we receive your request.

Information not in the publication scheme
Information that is not published under this scheme can be requested in writing, all requests will be considered in accordance with the Act. Details of how to make a request can be found on our requests page.
If a charge is to be made confirmation of the cost will be given before the information is provided. The information will not be released until full payment is received. 
Any charges will be made in accordance with our charging policy.
