THE FUTURE

As expected and in line with the rest of the country, the success of CCTV tends to contribute to the demand for more and more CCTV cameras.

New cameras are gradually being installed throughout the District at key areas, as part of our ongoing input into community safety and crime reduction.  However, this process does not rely solely on the use of CCTV cameras.  It also includes a variety of other initiatives such as improvements to street lighting, diversified activities for youths and the use of street wardens as part of a combined approach to the problem.
