ways to pay your rent

The following methods are available:

The Rent Collector will call fortnightly at your home. If you live within the Newark and Sherwood area and would like to use this service, please contact the Rents Section on (01636) 655516 or 655517.

You can use the post to send cheques or postal orders. Cheques should be made payable to Newark and Sherwood District Council. You should quote your reference number and address on the back of the cheque or postal order.

You can pay by cash or cheque at any of our offices:

You can pay your rent by Standing Order through your Bank. Please contact the Rents Section on (01636) 655516 or 655517 and we will be pleased to send you details. Or you can e-mail us housing.services@nsdc.info and we will send you a form in the post.

Debit Card payments (not credit card) can be made at any of the above offices (except Kelham Hall) and also via the telephone.

To pay by debit card over the phone please call one of our District Housing Offices on 01636 655503 or 01623 860740 and ask to make a rent payment.

Please have your Rent Account Number and Debit Card details to hand.

Payments can now be made via the Internet on www.billpayment.co.uk

Please note: We will not be held responsible for cash sent through the post or left at any place, including Cash Offices, without obtaining a receipt.
