Agendas, Reports and Minutes of Committee Meetings
As well as the Cabinet we also have a number of other Committees that ensure decisions are made democratically. The Full Council makes decisions on strategic and major policies as well as statutory matters including the budget and determining the level of Council Tax.
In addition we have three Overview and Scrutiny Committees who have a responsibility to hold the Cabinet to account for the decisions it takes. There are also four Regulatory Committees making decisions relating to planning, licensing, general purposes and audit & accounts. Finally we have a Standards Committee that deals with ethical issues surrounding elected members.

Meetings of the all Committees are open to the public however; it is sometimes necessary to ask the press and public to leave during discussions that are confidential. These items will be indicated on the agenda for the meeting.
