Newark Millgate Museum

Newark Millgate Museum is part of Newark and Sherwood Museum Service which also includes the Resource Centre and the Gilstrap Centre. They are all  run by Newark and Sherwood District Council and are part of Leisure and Cultural Services.
Newark Millgate Museum is a casual ten minute walk from Newark Market Place and is home to diverse Social History Collections. The Museum has fun education activities for children and fascinating exhibitions including streets, shops and rooms in period settings.  
The Mezzanine Gallery within the museum is a venue for temporary exhibitions featuring the work of local and national artists, designers and photographers and provides members of the public with the opportunity to purchase unique artwork. Newark Millgate Museum also operates a fine Research Service and provides local people with the chance to get involved with museum work via our Friends and Volunteer Groups.  Admission is Free
