You can only vote if your name is included on the Register of Electors. The current register was published on the 1st December 2009, from information taken from where people were resident on the 15th October 2009. If you have since moved address or have not registered, the last day to register for this election is Tuesday 20th April 2010. To register you need to complete a voter registration form. For an application form, please contact the Electoral Registration Officer on 01636 655222/655245 or by email at voting@nsdc.info Absent Voting You can apply to vote by post. The Electoral Registration Officer must receive your application before 5pm on Tuesday 20th April 2010 if it is to be effective for this election. If you are given a postal vote, you will not be able to vote in person at this election. You can apply to vote by proxy (someone to vote on your behalf). The Electoral Registration Officer must receive your application before 5pm on Tuesday 27th April 2009 if it is to be effective for this election. If you have appointed a proxy to vote in person for you, you can still vote at this election yourself, but only if your proxy has not already voted on your behalf. To vote by post or to appoint a proxy you need to complete an application form. The counting of the votes for the Sherwood Parliamentary election will take place at Dukeries Leisure Centre, Main Road, Boughton following the close of poll on Thursday, 6th May 2010. Information will be available in due course. The election count for the Sherwood constituency is complete.
