Recycling at Household Waste Recycling Centres (tips)

Household Waste Recycling Centres Nottinghamshire County Council runs 14 Household Waste Recycling Centres (tips), 3 of   which are in Newark and Sherwood at Brunel Drive, Newark and in Fiskerton and Bilsthorpe. All of the tips can be used by district residents.

Taking your separated recyclables to the sites will reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. Rubbish you can take:

 

  • Glass
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Plastic bottles
  • Textiles
  • Cans
  • Engine oil
  • Car batteries
  • Household batteries
  • Chipboard
  • Wood
  • Electrical items
  • Rubble
  • Garden waste
  • Scrap metals
  • Plasterboard - All except Fiskerton and Mansfield
  • Paint – (Calverton and Worksop only.)
  • Cooking oil - (Beeston, Calverton, Hucknall, Kirkby, Newark, West Bridgford, Warsop and Worksop).

 

If you are using a van, pick up, trailer or signed vehicle to transport your household waste then you need to apply for a permit from Nottinghamshire County Council. These sites will not accept business or trade waste.
