Where to go	What to do
Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre, Edwinstowe	Visit the Robin Hood exhibition and learn about Sherwood Forest past, present and future. Enjoy the waymarked walks through the forest to the famous Major Oak.
Edwinstowe	Walk from the visitor centre towards Edwinstowe. See the church where Robin Hood and Maid Marian were married. Continue along to the high street where there is a photo opportunity with the statue of Robin Hood and Maid Marian by the library.
Edwinstowe	Try out the cafe in the Sherwood Forest Art and Craft Centre. While you are there why not purchase some unique locally made souvenirs from the selection of craft shops?

Entrance to Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and Rufford Country Park is free but car parking charges may apply.

Where to go	What to do
Rufford Country Park	Visit Rufford Abbey Country Park, a place steeped in history where you can learn about Robin’s rebellion against the Church. Visit the remains of the Abbey founded by Cistercian monks. Enjoy a peaceful stroll around the lake or wander the woodlands via a network of paths and find the Georgian Ice Houses. The formal gardens and children’s play village capture the imagination. There is a range of things to enjoy and explore for all the family.
Dinner	There are a variety of options for places to eat after a good day out in the area. Return to Edwinstowe to try out the chic new Launay's restaurant. A good English menu with classic French cooking techniques. Or if you would like an Oriental experience, try Paddyfields restaurant in Ollerton.
