Newark Air Museum

The diverse collection of aircraft and cockpits on display covers the history of aviation. They include:

  • 13 national benchmark aircraft
  • 34 significant aircraft
  • 21 noteworthy aircraft

In addition to the aircraft the museum displays a diverse display of aviation artefacts and a collection of more than 30 aero engines.

Each year the museum organises and hosts a diverse range of special events. They also have a museum shop which has a great range of specialist aviation items and a cafe which makes fresh food to order.

Indoor Aeroboot/Aerojumble Table Top Sale
4 March

48 sellers tables all displayed inside Display Hangar 2 amongst the aircraft at the museum. (Special discount admission rates apply, open to everyone to attend).

Hastings and Shakleton 40th anniversary weekend
20-21 May

Two day event to commemorate 40 years since these iconic aircraft arrived at the museum; this will also involve Lincolnshire's Lancaster Association.

Cockpit-Fest and Aeroboot
17-18 June

This annual gathering provides the perfect opportunity for the public to view a diverse range of visiting aircraft cockpits,

1940s Weekend
12-13 August

A follow-up event from the successful 2015 Victory Days weekend, with an American focus to reflect their operations from RAF Balderton.
