Zoos

When keeping animals on display to the public in zoos, the highest priority must be the welfare and health of all the animals. An EU directive has introduced a set principles and this is backed up with A Standard of Modern Zoo Practice.

If you require a zoo licence, please use the application form and return it to Environmental Health, Newark and Sherwood District Council, Kelham Hall, Kelham, Nottinghamshire, NG23 5QX. Please check the current licence fees and charges list and enclose the correct payment with the application.
