Information for Community Groups
At the beginning of the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus and, as part of a national plan to open local support hubs, we set up a new team – the Humanitarian Assistance Support Team (Hart). The team helps support isolated and vulnerable residents throughout the Newark and Sherwood district. Hart has been able to map the tremendous amount of community group and volunteer support available within the district and Hart is able to plug gaps in community provision and support the more complex cases. We have publically thanked all community groups for their hard work and dedication. This section of the website will act as a hub containing information relevant to community groups and volunteers.
Funding opportunities for Community Groups
A number of schemes are available to support charities and community groups as they continue to respond to exceptional challenges throughout COVID-19. There are multiple funding opportunities available to community groups to help them continue to provide support for vulnerable residents in Newark and Sherwood. Further details of current opportunities is available here.
