Halloween 2020

Public Health Nottinghamshire is asking you to think carefully about how to celebrate Halloween safely in 2020. Trick or Treat buckets could be a cauldron of germs so please put a spell of protection on your community by avoiding going door to door trick or treating this year. Instead, why not try the All Hallow’s alternatives below.

Remember to follow our guidance for ghouls:

Test and Trace, not Trick or Treat! Please avoid door-to-door trick or treating this year.

No coven gatherings! Do not meet other households indoors.

✨     Cast a magic forcefield! Please maintain social distancing.

Say boo to bugs this Halloween by following the Government’s latest advice at www.gov.uk/coronavirus

The Great Newark and Sherwood Pumpkin Path

While Trick or Treat may be off the menu this October, we’re hoping that you’ll join us in a giant ‘Track & Treat’ instead! We’re asking people throughout Newark and Sherwood to join in our Halloween hunt by downloading and printing one or more of our petrifying pumpkin templates, decorating them and placing them in your window. Then, on Halloween night, children can explore their neighbourhoods safely (following the rule of six outdoors and not mixing indoors), pinpointing pumpkins and hopefully getting a little treat from their guardian for each one they spot! We’d love to see pictures of your decorated pumpkin up in your windows on our social media pages too!
