Cricket is a team sport that originated in England. The game is played between 2 teams with 11 players on each side. The teams consist of players who have a mixture of abilities - some who specialise at batting, some at bowling, occasionally some who excel in both capacities - and one specialist player who acts as the wicket keeper.

A game called Kwik cricket has been designed to introduce the game of cricket to boys and girls aged 5 upwards. The game is very popular with both Primary Schools and Cricket Clubs and can be played both indoors and outdoors.

The National Governing Body for cricket in England is the English Cricket Board.
