Hockey is a fun, skilful and exciting game which is played widely across the world. It is an 11-a-side game which can be played by both men and women.

The national Governing Body for Hockey in England is England Hockey.

Mini hockey is a game designed for younger people, played on half a pitch with 7 players. Rules for Mini Hockey are similar to full sided hockey with a few changes to make it quicker and easier for younger players to grasp.

England Hockey, Notts Trent University and the Youth Sport Trust have also developed a game called Zone Hockey which is an adapted version of hockey that can be used to promote integration. It's a fast, fun and enjoyable game which can be played by girls and boys of all abilities and has been adapted to enable disabled and non disabled participants to compete together.
