The Nottinghamshire County Council and Police & Crime Commissioner for the Nottinghamshire area elections will be held on Thursday 6 May 2021. By-elections will also be held for the Boughton District Ward, Parish of Edwinstowe, Southwell Town Council North Ward and the Bulcote Neighbourhood Plan Referendum. Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm. Poll cards will be sent to registered voters who are eligible to vote in these elections.

You can only vote if your name is on the Register of Electors.

These elections are still planned to take place and we will have arrangements in place to make polling places as safe as possible given Covid-19. These additional safety requirements will include staff and voters being required to wear face coverings, using the hand sanitiser which will be provided and ensuring appropriate social distancing. We may not be able to use some polling places that we would have usually and any changes will be shown on your polling card which will be sent at the end of March.

If you currently vote in person at a polling place, you may prefer instead to apply for a postal vote, where your ballot papers will be sent by post. Although the last date to complete and return an application is not until 5pm on Tuesday 20 April 2021 if it is to be effective for these elections, we would encourage you to make an application now.
