Policy review

Under the Licensing Act 2003, Newark and Sherwood District Council is required to have a Statement of Licensing Policy.

The council is also required to review that policy as necessary and not less than every five years.

The council is now consulting on its draft revised statement of policy for the Licensing Act 2003.

Under the Gambling Act 2005 Newark and Sherwood District Council is required to have a Statement of Principles relating to its duties under the Act. 

The council is also required to review that policy as necessary and not less than every three years.

The council is now consulting on its draft Statement of Gambling Policy which must be completed in time to allow the council to adopt it by 31 January 2019.

The changes to this edition are limited, however, to ensure that consultees identify any changes these are shown in red on the draft.
