The Hub is a place for our tenants and residents in Boughton to seek advice, support and assistance on a wide range of issues. You can get:
- housing advice
- help finding a job
- rent guidance
- assistance to report a repair
- support from other partners and agencies, including Citizens Advice Bureau, Standguide, Nottinghamshire Police and Change Grow Live
The kettle is always on for local people to pop in and see us. You may even want to volunteer for some of our community events.
Community events
Those who live in Boughton and the surrounding areas can use the Hub for social groups and clubs, community events and courses.
If you want to try a new skill or meet other residents, there are lots of community activities, training, advice and support sessions available.
A schedule of events is advertised on notice boards around Boughton, outside the Hub, and on social media through the NSDC Housing Facebook page.
Coffee Club
Coffee Club at the Hub takes place every Tuesday from 10am until 12pm. Local residents are welcome to join to meet other residents, while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. We are always looking for new people to join us. You may even hear about new projects that will benefit you and your estates.
Bingo
Eyes down! Bingo is held at the Hub every other Monday from 12:30pm onwards. The next session will be advertised outside the Hub.
Partners & Agencies
Boughton Community Hub currently hosts several partners who are available for appointments and drop ins.
Standguide
Standguide are an organisation that works with people in work who need support, are maybe suffering from mental health issues, or those suffering from work-related difficulties which they need support with. They can also help people find work, or can support candidates to prepare them for work, such as helping them with CVs.
Standguide are at the Hub every Tuesday from 10am to 4pm.
Citizens Advice Bureau
Citizens Advice Bureau are available for appointments on Wednesdays from 9am to 4pm and for drop ins on Thursday mornings from 9am to 11am. They can offer support and advice for any housing, work or benefit related enquiries.
