Newark and Sherwood gift card at Newark on Sea
- By entering the Gift Card at Newark on Sea competition, entrants confirm that they have read and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The Promoter of this competition is Newark and Sherwood District Council, Castle House, Great North Road, Newark NG24 1BY. The prize draw will be delivered by Newark and Sherwood District Council.
- Newark and Sherwood District Council is offering those who enter the Gift Card at Newark on Sea competition a chance to win a £50 Newark and Sherwood Gift Card. 2 x runners up will receive a £25 gift card each.
- Entries to this prize draw must be submitted by Sunday 16 August, 23.59pm, at the latest.
- To enter this prize draw, entrants must guess how many seashells are in the jar, which can be found at the Newark and Sherwood Gift Card stall at Newark on Sea. Entrants must write down their guess, along with their name and email address on the relevant form provided by the Newark and Sherwood District Council staff member on site.
- Entrants must be UK residents, aged 18 years or over. This promotion is not open to any employees of Newark and Sherwood District Council, or any of their affiliate companies, their families, agents, or anyone else connected with this prize draw.
- One entry allowed per person. Late entries will not be accepted.
- No purchase is necessary to enter this promotion.
- The promotion is open to entries from Friday 7 August – Sunday 16 August 2026.
- The prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable and there is no cash alternative offered.
- Newark and Sherwood District Council reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside its reasonable control, Newark and Sherwood District Council reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this promotion without prior notice.
- Any entrants who successfully guess the correct number of seashells will be randomly selected from all valid entries received during the promotion period by using software that produces random results.
- Winners will be notified within three (3) working days after the promotion closes on 16 August via email. If a winner fails to respond within five (5) working days of this notification, they will forfeit their prize and a redraw will take place from the remaining valid entries to select a new winner to whom these terms will apply in identical terms but from the new date triggered by the redraw. If the original or a reallocated winner declines the prize or fails to respond within the required period, they forfeit any right to the prize.
- Newark and Sherwood District Council does not accept responsibility for network, computer or software failures of any kind and has no responsibility for lost, delayed, or misdirected entries.
- Newark and Sherwood District Council reserves the right to discount any inappropriate or offensive entries and to disqualify any entries if the Promoter, at its sole discretion, believes that there has been an attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the promotion (including, without limitation, be setting up multiple email accounts in order to submit multiple entries).
- Newark and Sherwood District Council does not accept any responsibility for any infringement of any third-party intellectual property rights caused by entrants entering this prize draw.
- Except for the purpose of carrying out the promotion, contacting the winner and sending out prizes Newark and Sherwood District Council will not use an entrant’s email address without the express consent of the entrant. - You agree to be bound by the decisions of Newark and Sherwood District Council which are final in all matters relating to the promotion. No correspondence will be entered into in respect of the Promoter’s decisions.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of England and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England, including the seeking of all injunctive or ancillary relief actions.
