You can pay your housing rent or your garage rental charge online, by Direct Debit or by telephone.

Pay housing rent now

You can make a rent payment at any time using our secure payment portal. You’ll need your seven digit rent account number. 

You can also register for a MyHome account to make rent payments online.

Pay by Direct Debit 

Paying by Direct Debit is the easiest and quickest way to pay your rent. 

We can set up Direct Debits to pay your rent weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Pay by telephone

You can pay your housing rent by telephone with a credit or debit card on our automated payment line, open 24 hours a day. You can access this using our main customer service line: 01636 650 000.

You’ll need:

  • your debit or credit card number
  • your rent account number
  • the amount you wish to pay
  • a pen to record the transaction number

Pay at the Post Office

You can pay by cash, cheque or using a debit or credit card at any Post Office.

You must make cheques payable to the Post Office Ltd. Please do not send cheques to Newark and Sherwood District Council.
