Make a request to re-use information that we hold

Make a request under the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015.

The Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015 (ROPSI) allows people and organisations to apply to re-use information that we hold.

These regulations mean we have a duty to:

  • allow the re-use of existing and generally accessible information we create, collect or hold. In most cases the granting of re-use is mandatory.
  • only charge a fee to cover the costs of producing and supplying the information, where there is reasonable justification
  • grant licences for re-use of information, where applicable
  • offer appropriate advice and guidance
  • respond to requests within 20 working days

Re-use means using the information for a purpose other than the purpose for which the document was originally produced.
