Pupils studying Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers will have the chance to see it brought to life on a local stage this October. The GCSE English Literature curriculum text will take to the Palace Theatre Newark stage from 22 to 26 October as part of a national tour of the spectacular Bill Kenwright Ltd West End production.

Newark and Sherwood District Council has received confirmation that they have successfully completed the validation process for the funding bid for Ollerton and Clipstone. This confirmation takes the council into the final stages of securing the £20m cash injection after the initial ‘in principle’ announcement in November 2023.

Between the existing locations in Hawtonville at the Co-Op on Churchill Drive and the Tom Mann Pavilion at Devon Park, a need for new defibrillator was identified to provide greater coverage in this ward.
