For Neighbourhood Plans to be adopted, a majority of more than 50% of people voting in the referendum must support the plan or order. If this is the case then we must bring it into force as the local planning authority.

- Robert Jenrick - UK Parliament (Conservative) for Newark Parliamentary constituency
- Michelle Welsh - UK Parliament (Labour) for Sherwood Forest Parliamentary constituency
Both MPs were elected at the Parliamentary election held on Thursday 4 July 2024.
