A number of rural businesses in Newark and Sherwood are seeing their companies flourish and make the next step in expanding their commercial offer thanks to grants made available by the District Council through Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF), integrated into the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

A joint operation to crackdown on illegal waste-carrying vehicles took place last week and found, following on-going efforts from the District Council and partners, a significant reduction of rogue waste operators, illegal scrap services and unroadworthy vehicles.

Newark and Sherwood District Council has introduced a comprehensive package to improve the district’s CCTV with the aim of continuing to drive down rates of anti-social behaviour (ASB) across the district.
