Food waste recycling trial
From October 2026, around 3,000 households across the district will take part in a six-month food waste collection trial ahead of the county-wide introduction of food waste collections from October 2027.
Report a problem, including graffiti, fly-tipping, fly-posting, litter bins, street cleaning, dog waste and fouling.
Fly-posting is when people put up unauthorised posters and stickers in public places.
It can be unsightly and make an area feel unsafe and uncared for. If they are not removed the posters slowly rot, becoming more unsightly and causing litter.
If you see fly-posting, you can report it.
You can also report it on MyNs. This allows you to track the status of your report.
You will first be asked to log in or register for a new account.
We are responsible for cleaning items attached to trees, bridges, lamp posts, road signs and other street furniture. As well as removing fly-posting, we also take action against the people responsible.
We have powers to prosecute both the people putting up the material and the businesses being advertised. We’re building a database of offenders and we aim to prosecute any business that is caught more than once.
You can be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice for fly-posting.
