The District Council is currently in the process of producing the Local Development Framework (LDF) and the timetable for this is detailed in the Local Development Scheme. Adoption of the Allocations & Development Management DPD on 16th July 2013 completed the process of replacing the Local Plan with the LDF.
As a result the Development Plan for the District now comprises of the Core Strategy DPD and the Allocations & DM DPD DPDs and these will be the main documents used to assess planning applications. Other documents dealing with specific matters such as affordable housing and Gypsy and Traveller pitch provision will be produced over time to supplement these.
