District triumphs at East Midlands in Bloom Awards

Following the success of its Green Gateways pilot scheme, Newark and Sherwood District Council is launching an annual programme to bring wildflower planting to the entrances and exits of towns and villages across the district.

Community Lottery Draws it’s first Jackpot Winner

The Newark and Sherwood Community Lottery has drawn it’s very first £25,000 jackpot winner. A local resident from Newark, matched all six numbers in the 20 September draw and took home the top prize. The win marks the first time a resident in the district has won the jackpot since the community lottery was launched in 2021.
