Planning feedback

To provide feedback on a planning application or enforcement issue you can contact us. Please include your name, email address, planning application number and details of your feedback.

Complex queries relating to planning and enforcement may require discussions with relevant staff members and can take up to 20 days to reply.

Planning decisions

We understand that applicants, agents and members of the community may not always agree with the decisions we make as the local planning authority. You can send feedback on any application – please contact us to do so.

Once a decision has been made, applicants have a right to appeal, however there is no third party right of appeal. Those who wish to challenge a planning decision can seek redress through the courts by Judicial Review, however this would usually be reserved for decisions relating to applications that are particularly contentious.

Planning enforcement

If you believe that work, including tree removal, has been undertaken without the correct planning permission you should report it. You can find out more on how to do so on our planning enforcement page.

We have a duty to investigate all reports of potential breaches of planning, including to listed buildings or within a designated conservation area.

Your data

The personal information you provide will only be used to process the application you have made to us. Find out more in our planning privacy policy.
