Businesses encouraged to complete survey to help inform future support for Ollerton

Businesses in Ollerton are encouraged to complete a survey to help the District Council understand the current conditions of the town and what support businesses feel is needed to help them thrive.

The survey forms part of the Ollerton town centre health check and the work the District Council is undertaking to support the regeneration of Ollerton.

Town centre health checks seek to assess how they are performing. By asking businesses for their opinion, the District Council can build on existing strengths and understand any specific challenges. In addition, the data collated from the survey will help inform appropriate recommendations, investment and funding applications in the future.

The survey will take 2-5 minutes to complete, and the deadline is Friday, 31 March 2023. The survey can be accessed here:

In addition, visitors to the town centre are also being asked to take part in a similar survey to assess how Ollerton is seen by those who use it. The town centre users survey can be accessed here:

Other areas the town centre health check will look at include parking and footfall numbers.

People and Places Insight, an independent research organisation that offers guidance to town centres across the United Kingdom, including their nationally acclaimed Town Benchmarking system, have been commissioned to oversee the delivery of the survey.

The Ollerton town centre health check is being funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Matt Lamb, Director of Regeneration and Growth at Newark and Sherwood, said: "This is fantastic opportunity for businesses in Ollerton to provide feedback on what is currently working in the town and the challenges businesses face.

"Therefore, I encourage all businesses in Ollerton to take time to complete our survey. It should only take 2 -5 minutes and will help us inform, shape and influence future support."
