Free support sessions for businesses in Newark and Sherwood
Posted on: Monday, March 30, 2026Newark and Sherwood District Council is committed to economic growth and working with local industry and is continuing its programme of business support with a fully funded support session at Edwinstowe House on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
Hour-long slots are available for businesses to speak with expert business advisor, Dawn Fear. The session has been organised in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council. During this hour attendees will have the opportunity to discuss approaches for business development, resilience, and how to set and achieve their goals.
This surgery is a unique chance to gain one-to-one advice that can make a real difference to businesses. Whether looking to overcome challenges, identify growth opportunities, or strengthen a long-term strategy, Dawn’s expertise can help.
Dawn has a wealth of knowledge to tap into. With 36 years of experience at NatWest, she built trusted relationships with a wide portfolio of SMEs, identifying their needs and supporting their business ambitions. For the past nine years, she has worked as a business adviser, delivering focused support and guidance to help SMEs grow and succeed.
Attendees will leave the session with practical strategies tailored to their business goals. Previous attendees have said:

The business support session will take place on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, at Edwinstowe House, Edwinstowe, NG21 9PR. Seven 60-minute slots are available between 9:00am and 4:45pm.
This support is aimed at businesses that are based in Newark and Sherwood and have been trading for three years and above
