No scheduled May 2026 elections

There will be national and regional media coverage of scheduled local elections taking place across the country and whilst some local authorities are holding their elections, residents in the Newark & Sherwood district are advised that no local elections are scheduled to be held in our district on Thursday 7 May 2026.

Newark & Sherwood District Council Councillors, as well as Parish and Town Councillors are all elected at the same time for a four-year term of office. The last District and Parish Council elections were held on Thursday 4 May 2023 and the next will be held on Thursday 6 May 2027.
