We aim to equip individuals who are uncertain about online services with the resources and guidance they need to use platforms like the NHS app and even our own tools such as MyHome, or MyNS, ensuring that everyone can access these tools equally.
“We’re encouraging residents to help us spread the word and support your friends or relatives to take their first steps towards digital confidence. Together, we can ensure everyone in Newark and Sherwood has the skills to stay connected and informed.”
Nicola Beech, Head of Department: Adult Community and Online at West Notts College, said: “Our IT for the Terrified course is designed to break down the fear and barriers many people feel around technology. We provide a supportive, welcoming environment where learners can build confidence at their own pace, guided by experienced teachers—and with no prior knowledge needed. The course includes practical skills such as using the NHS app and can be tailored to meet the needs of each group, making it relevant and accessible for everyone.
